Oct. 23rd, 2005 12:18 pmYa know... the reason college and I don't get along is that 90% of what you are prepaired for in college is a desk job.
And the fact that I am not really a typical inovator. I work best when branching off from a pre-existance foundation or idea.
Let's review the stuff I've done, just in the Yuugiou fandom, for instance.
KnN was created because there were no good Yuugiou webpages at the time. There were no good screencap archives or info sites. So, while looking at a particularly crappy page I cometed 'I could do so much better!' Thus, it became a challange.
Winamp skins started similarly. I kept finding only crap when I found ANY Yuugiou winamp skins, so again the phraze 'I can do better then that' was uttered and it became a challange.
The first Yuugiou fanfic I started writing was 'Kisei' It was also my first cliche reclaimed fic, designed to show a LOGICAL BakuBaku fic. Almost all my solo fic-wriing is Cliche Reclaimed or challange fic.
My first music video I made because someone had done a suposid Kaiba video to 'Hero' that was 95% blahblah duel. So, I redid it. The 'Friends' GX video was sparked by a dream where Shou was being caried out by people singing that song.
When I had a fanlisting, it was because I wanted to do one 'right.'
Everything I've done has had a template. Everything's had a guideline. Everything's had a trigger.
In one class, we're stuck with this crappy arse project. Noone'll listen to my sugestions on how to better it and when I say it has problems I just get this 'Then what do you think we should do instead?' I don;'t have a diffrent project idea, I just have more of an idea of what to do with it then you idoits. ><
and I lost my focus here so I'm off to clean.
Edit: And I dislike having to follow exact steps. So I need something where I have a base, but can go where I'dl ike with it.
