Kiwi: Did you know we're apparently not allowed to use AIM to show stuff we don't own the rights to?
Fran: .. huh?
Kiwi:So we're technically not allowed to stick a movie screen and say "THIS LOOKS COOL"
Kiwi:they updated their TOS
Fran: phht.
Fran: Fair use policy.
Kiwi:I wanna know how they'd KNOW

post to any AIM Product, AOL owns all right, title and interest in any
compilation, collective work or other derivative work created by AOL
using or incorporating this Content. In addition, by posting Content on

right to reproduce, display, perform, distribute, adapt and promote

Fran: .. whoa...
Fran: THat's... not legal.. I don't think.
Fran: yeah.. very not legal.
Kiwi:I still wanna know how they'd even GET the content.
Kiwi:Does this mean they own our RPs?
Fran: Only in their dreams.
Fran: If they ever tried acting upon this...
Kiwi: Yeah, I think people'll go nuts
Kiwi: but does it mean they're reading all our conversations (or at least trying to?) 'cause that's what its SUGGESTING (note: I doubt they even have enough STAFF to do that so...)
