Ya know how small things kinda.. stick in your head?
Welp, at work today, Gina brought in GirlScout cookies for her TA and told the kids, one each. The Fran went 'Ooo... When everyone's had one, I'll ask if I can yoink.' WAtched one dude grab 4 of one. Watched another yank half the package and hide it in his jacket. After breif attendance taking, Gina comented tha since people were late, everyone could have teh cookie sthey would have gotten.
One kid JUMPED the desk and DOVE for the remaining cookies.
As I'm sitting there going 'O.o'
I just kinda... feel it's rather symbolic of alot of things. I dunno.
I comented today that there's a very high chance that society as we know it now will have gone up in flames and ate itself with in 10 years. The councler agreed with me. I'm starting to think this is why I just... cannot give a shit about school. Cause ya know what? When everything implodes, some BS degree in a subject that doesn't matter isn't going to do squat.

Breifly? Political system is starting to buckle understress, the economy is service based and produces very little, which is highly unstable, the education system is burried under the amount of special needs kids, the amount of people on medications is staggering, the state of international politics is pretty freaking dismal, personal responsablity is seen as quaint, we don't have enough natural resources to continue fueling the lifestyle we've come to demand, our nations infastruction is build on a resource that is in decline while our use of it continues to rise, and basicly, the world is going to shit. Never mind the climate shift/change that's starting to fuck up growing cycles and ocean currents.
We are a nation that's standing on a needle thin point ontop a tall tower we've build of the reminds of those whom we stepped on to get where we are. Unless changes are made, which I don't see as likely, there is no way that this overstressed society can continue to function for much longer.
