There are two feelings that are the most liberating in the academic world: One is finishing a long asigment/project and handing it in, the other is deciding your just not going to bloody do it.

Guess which one the Fran is feeling right now!

Edit: Unrelatedly: My car is STILL SITTING IN FRONT OF THE FREAKING HOUSE! Goddamnit, I need this to be fixed by Friday! >

The latter was me in the first half of my senior year. I didn't do one fifteen page paper and one twelve page paper, both for the same professor. The fifteen pager I wrote off completely. I just wrote down that I didn't do the work, I slacked off, I offered no excuses and I apologised for wasting his time. The twelve pager, I put down all the crap I had so far, which filled only three pages and submitted it.

Got F's on both papers but still passed the courses with C's. I guess sometimes a little honesty and accountability go a long way...
