_Gainax to Release Angel Figures with Decidedly Female Look_
Gainax has announced that they will be producing a number of figurines of the Evangelion Angels as... girls.
The announcement states, "As the 10th anniversary of Evangelion approaches, humanity's enemy has taken on a new form. The 'angels' have taken on a new concept and design, which Gainax and Wave announce. And so the new images begin..." (see above link for images).
The figurines, designed by Yoshizaki Mine, go on sale in December for 2604 yen each (US$23) and are 14 cm tall.
