Anime review: Amaenaideyo

Advertised as sort of... buddist monk harrem anime. ^^

Which isn't too far off. :D It's got the panty shots and celeavage and girl gropage. :D And the guy gets the crap beaten out of him regularly. The diffrence from a standard harrem anime is that far as I can tell, the wad o girls aren't hanging over the guy. Infact, they more seem to like harassing him. :) One of the girls likes him but won't admit it and the rest have mixed opinions from 'Dude, you're just a perv' to 'He's not all bad,' and such on. So no fighting over who gets to marry the poor sap.

The plot line is that this guy got sent to be a monk by his parents who just wanted to be rid of him. He's the only boy in the place. For some reason, when he gets a nose bleed, he gets an uber powerup and thus can deal with whatever the spirit of the day is/ (He seems posessed when it happens really) He gets repremanded for using this power when it's normaly one of the girls who activate it [First time you see it, the tomboy pulls off the robe of the 'cuten'sweet' one (who seems the designated sex object. :D) to acitvate it, the 2nd time, the p0rn bait goes and flashes him herself.

Characters are pretty standard, nothing too special. The usial assortment of girls for this type: the cuten'sweet one, the blond, the tomboy, the spooky chick, the serious one,ect ect. with a few all 'round types as well. The guy is kinda the typical type as well. The old head monk chick is kinda fun, still nothing special.

Art's pretty standard as well.

Overall, I found it amusing. :) There's noting real special about it, but as harem anime go, it seems a decent one based on the first ep.

Sounds like "Love Hina", only Keitaro isn't a buddhist monk... but that sounds like the only difference. I've got money that says it's made by the same person.

It didn't annoy me like Love Hina did though. Possibly because on a day to day basis, the girls outpower the boy who is general regarded as a fuck up cause he's a pervert and not of pure mind. He's not in controll of anything, not even his 'UberPervPower!' really. Wasn't, in Love Hina, the dude made like.. manager of the building or something? I can't remember... I only watched the first ep of that and it kinda rubbed me the wrong way.
