Funny.

So is agriculture a religion now?

More like, is it becoming religion again. :) Argiculture and Earth based religions have been closely tied to the point of mutal inclusion many a times. Kinda nice to see some people trying to recapture that rather then going with the trend of overly machine processed and handed stuff.

Y'know, just because because people don't like their food being machine-processed, doesn't mean they should go and create a bunch of mystical nonsense about growing plants.
Plants will grow just fine without machines or prayer. This business of "life-forces" is completely unnecessary.

Unless I missed something, didn't see prayer (or similar) in that page at all. It seemed to be all farming in harmony with the Earth, rather then farming in a will-forcing way. None of this is 'mystical nonsence'. It's not like it's saying that if you say a mantra 20 times over your corn it'll grow better [though they have done studies that show that it does work for the most part. Similar to playing music to a plant]. It's farming in ways that are best for the Earth and best for Man, not just best for Man.

I used "prayer" rhetorically. I would've just said "mysticism" except I had already used "mystical" in the previous sentence. I sometimes have a problem with redundant repetition, so I try to rephrase things when possible.

I will say that if they cut out the spiritual stuff, they actually have some good ideas, especially regarding soil. Modern agricultural practices are destroying topsoil much faster than it can replenish itself.
To solve this, a more intelligent and rational approach to agriculture is needed. The spiritual stuff is, as I said, unnecessary.
