The story of today.

[since I typed it out for someplace else, you can read it more well puttogether. :D]

It's been a long week and it just got even more so today...

For set up: I've been having a lot of problems with lack of energy. Sleeping habits gone to you know what and not able to pay attention to class lectures [passing OUT in classes] and having a lot more retention problems then usual. So I've been battling that, still waiting for the blood tests to come back to see what in heck is wrong with me and floudering in classes.

This weekend, I managed to get a bad headcold, which made everything that much worse, but I managed to plow through what I needed to do for the most part. Managed to even get a coherent start to an essay that I was granted an extension on due to problems.

So, typical Tuesday, went to start up the car to get my roommate to work. Key in, turn key. Radio comes on, Engine does not. I blink at it a few times and then try again. Nothing. Well shit.

My downstairs neighbor has been watching (he sits on his porch for his morning smoke about this time every day) and holds up his keys to let me drive my roommate in to work in his truck. I have a few moments of 'Bloody hell, this thing is huge!' 'Is this really an automatic?' 'Where in heck is the gear shift?' 'How do I move this seat so my feet hit the pettles?'. Then I realize, there's no driver side mirror. And I can barely see out of the rear view because of the truck cap. Bloody Hell. With help from my roommate and my neighbor on the porch calling out when cars are coming, I manage to pull out. After a short but nerve wracking drive [going at about m.p.h. and 50 curses of the 'f-f-f' variety per mile] I drop the roommate off and make it back home. Downstairs offers to poke at it and see if he can fix it.

He tries jump-starting it. Nothing moves. So the battery's fine. Must be the starter. He pokes around, can't find it cause it's a small car. So, there's a mechanic down the road, we'll call over when they open.

Hour later, downstairs is helping me PUSH the car down to the mechanic so I don't have to pay for a tow. (This guy is a REAL good neighbor!) Mechanic has a bit of a laugh at that as we come in, asks what's wrong and says he'll give me a call in an hour once he'll gotten a chance to assess the damages.

Walk back home. Hour later, get the call. Yep, it's the starter. The soonest he can get the part in and get it fixed would be noon tomorrow.

I had a test today that I missed. I have another test tomorrow at 11.

I am so fuckeded.

At least you know your neighboor is kind enough to help you push the car.

As for the tests, explain the situations to your professors. Hopefuly they understand . . .

Yeah, he's a pretty awsome neighbor. Lets me borrow powertools when I need as well. :) Amusingly enough, he also watches Yuugiou and duels. *is amused*
