More specificly: http://www.greenmtn.edu/Catalog/ssps.pdf

Scroll on down to Natural Resources Management.

I want. Very very much. So once the freshman rush is off, I'm going to call them up and make apointments to go talk to people about transfering over.

I just gutteted my Castelton schedule and reformed it nera compleatly again. It looks like a reasl schedule now. Just need to do a little dance tomorrow to get my lab switched [emailed the teacher abotu sneekign into the full lab beacuse the open one conflicts with anotehr class I want] and then resign up for the Consumer Conservation class.

So I'll be in Astronamy [Lab], Consumer Conservation [Lab], Geology and Man [1 cred] and Envirotmental politics.

.. and soundings at the moment but that'll be dropped the second I get a solid in for GreenMountain.

Castleton may be a nice college... but it's severly lacking in sciences. VERY sevearly. And the Enviormental studies program is basicly a geneal sciences. Green Mountain in an enviormental college basicly.

Castleton got me a focus and a 3.8 to cover up the mess that was New Paltz. It;'s a nice place, but it doesn't have what I need to do what I want. Ironicly, this is almost compleatly due to the class I took to fill a Gen Ed, the Physics and Astronomy for Elementry teachers class. It showed me my fear/dislike of science was a learned behavior [because hell... i liked Chem in highschool... my physis teacher just sucked arse and I just blundered throygh BS GenEds in New Paltz already thinking I didn;t like science for some reason] and because of conversations with my deskmate and the "hippyish" leanings of my teacher, reminded me that I really do enjoy the enviromental stuff. And as much as I bitched about teh gardening stuff and lack of substance, the Medicianal PLants class helped clear the focus as well.

So, I'm doing a 'Takign what looks intresting and not worrying about a major' semester this session and with luck, will be in Green Mountain for spring. Hopefuly without too many gen-eds to fil. :D
