For a good time troll...

and not troll as in bash, troll as in fishing.

If you have a half hour to kill, start link hopping this Friend Ditto stuff.

Here's some to get your started:

http://www.livejournal.com/users/subbes/1112291.html
http://www.livejournal.com/users/applecameron/83998.html
http://www.livejournal.com/users/permetaform/257217.html

Very intresting stuff going on. Some of Friend Ditto's practices (publishing of personal information submitted to the site in any way) I'm pretty sure is not legal. My main consern that if someone uses FriendDitto's services to archive orginal works such as fiction or art.... messiness. But the most intrestign part to me is people's reactions. I'ev found very few defending (and those who are seem to have pretty weak arguments) and alot of 'OMG!' reactions and most of the conserns seem to be friends locked stuff.

Because with all the within LJ archival journals, if you're nitting something for publishing what you've already publish publicly... well... *doinks person(

Fran's general take: Why would you want to basicly give something you wanted to keep a copy of to some stranger to display? Save to harddive or book mark if you want to keep a copy of a LJ entry, silly people.

Ah, I love the fresh smell of sanity in the morning afternoon. ;)

Seriously, yours is the first *sane* post about this that I've seen today.

Wow. Not really suprized though, judging by all the comentary on what I was looking at. There's been serious talk about staking the person who regged the domaine, remote loading til the site breaks, then a creative one where they planned to archive an MP3 on the site and then tell the RIAA... Crazy stuff. Makes me wish I had a pych class to write a paper for... :D

Damn. o0; That is pretty creepy...

I hope someone hacks their site. I'd laugh if I saw one of those IRC channel pimping hacker messages on their front page. XD
