If they do do this, they will be doing insane harm to the US and the military.

NOONE likes teh draft. The draftees hate it and the volentears hate it. It kills moral and causes more casulaties.

Do they want another vietnam? Do they want to tear this country apart? Do they want massive protests? Do they THINK at all?

Okay, as if the draft itself isn't fucked up enough - all young people, including women would be involved? Are they high, drunk, or just insane? Do they even know how many people that's going to kill? I mean, it says "military or civilian service" but still ... I'm afraid to ask what that involves.

Basicly, they can take away howevery much time from your life as they want.

I;m just picturig some 24year old, just married couple who are just trying to get stable, having one half of that partnet ship yoinked out for the draft, leaving theother crippled. Picture it as a preganet woman in there.. Heh, watch the birth rate soot up cause people are getting nocked up to avoid the draft. XD

Although, someone once pointed out that setting up the draft and all is a good way to kill support for any war, and thus end(?) it. Huh.

Two words. Conscientious Objector. They will serve me well, should this go through.

College can't even save your ass these days. All you get to do is finish out the semester, then you get shipped out.

In any case, I don't think it will happen. Even if Bush gets re-elected, if he reinstated the draft, not only would it kill him, it would kill the Republican Party as a whole.
