I'm debating changing policyes again..

Recently it was brought to my attention that Janime is using my preist pan cap [from op 5] for one of her banners. Normaly, I wouldn't have much a problem expect tha there's no link or credit to KnN anywhere on the site and I put an hours worth of work on that cap to get it free of credits.

So I emailed Janime with a 'You're using my cap, can I get a credit line...?'

and she replied saying she wasn't using any of my caps and her caps wer all offical and what not.

I replied pointing out it ws just that one banner and it still had my watermarks on it so it obviously WAS mine.

And have gotten no reply.

It just irks me muchky... makes me want to water mark the entire damned site [expect tha that would take INSANE amounts of effort] and revoke the free for use or switch it so you need to have a link back or something. Just. ARG. ><

It had to be that one cap too... I'm not exaduaratng when I say it took me an hour. It was like... 20-30 some odd caps I had to peice together to get it free of credits.

Meh. I dislike feeling like my work is being taken advantage of....

I know this is kind of random, but I do want to let you know I have been using screencaps for making icons and graphics for some shrines. I will be linking back to you, I just been busy with other things. n_n I really do appreciate you letting others, such as myself, use those screencaps. It's been really helpful designing my sites.

Hmm. Give caps like, er, that one a different policy to the others, maybe. The ones that took you a lot of time should have, like, a must-credit-and-link policy. Or something.

For the record, I luff your screencraps. And credit on all the sites I use them on. If I don't on one or two, poke me and I will.

Ai yi yi. Stealing from other webmaster's hard work = >_< I feel your pain (I've taken down my sites now, but mreh, they were just writing projects, and I might throw them back up), and I sincerely hope Janime gets back to you on this. It isn't right for her to just yoink something that you spent a long time on to get perfect, and not get an iota of credit for it.

I have used your screens for icons and the occasional journal layout - however, I have a link back to Kokoro no Naka in my info page for 'em. I believe muchly in crediting artists where credit is due, being an artist/writer myself.

...and please don't mind me scampering in here to voice my opinion - I've heard too much about image theft that I just HAD to say something. ^^;
