Story
Seventy years ago, an enigmatic drifter named Henry Stauf created a toy making empire by seemingly crafting incredible toys from his dreams. "A Stauf toy is a toy for life" has become a legend in itself. Yet reclusive, this wealthy but twisted toy maker Henry Stauf invited six guests to a party at his hilltop estate, promising to fulfill their desires for great wealth or power. No one has seen or heard from these six guests since that night. Seventy years later, while visiting the now deserted mansion, you are suddenly transported back in time as an entity known as Ego only to witness the cold-blooded murders of these six guests on that fatal night! The tales of their deaths appear to revolve around a mysterious "7th Guest." The identity of this guest is finally revealed when the evil Stauf and his sinister puzzles are defeated!

They say that some 70 years ago an enigmatic drifter, one Henry Stauf, came to town and started making toys ..... beautiful, original creations fashioned from his strange dreams. They were wildly popular, and he became very successful and wealthy. But then mysteriously, the children who owned the toys began to die .....

Now feared by the townfolk, avoided and shunned, Stauf grew reclusive, bitter ..... and mad. He poured out all of his pent up frustration and resentment on his mansion, until it was his greatest creation. And then he gave a party. He invited 6 guests, and enticed them to come with a promise to fulfill their wildest dreams for wealth and power.

No one knows what happened there on that fateful night, but none of them were ever seen or heard from again. The house has stood empty now, abandoned and rotting, for as long as anyone can remember. But occasionally eerie lights are seen, and the people say they can hear the terrible sing-song rhymes of the children .....

*tries to remember the rhyme*

"Old Man Stauf build a house, and filled it with his toys
Six guests arived [somethignsomething,] their screems the only noise
...
Not one came out that night, not one was ever seen...
But old man Stauf is waiting there, crazy, old, and MEAN!"

Yeah, I'll be writing it down better once I'ev played again. hehehe.... I need to fiiind the packaging mine came in with the Stauf files, damnit! ^^

*cackles like YamiBakura*

I'm gonna like writing this....

[it's really hard to remeber the rhyme when Moxy Früvous - Kick in the Ass is playing. ><]

ah yes, the predecessor to the game that gave me nightmares...I remember that. ^^ Left the 11th hour box often in the frontroom so it would be as far away from me as possible. I think I considered once sticking it in the freezer.

The predecessor was far less scary, just much more confusing, and had better puzzles. Oh, and Fran.... gimmegimmegimmegimmegimmegimmegimme!
