My hamster, Oscar, died after only a few years too (Rascal, my brother's simply disappeared. We have no idea what happened to him). He made his nest in a hollowed out coconut so we buried him in that. Future dead hamsters were put in margarine containers. I remember Arlene died while my brother and me were back at Mom's so Dad wrapped her in plastic and froze her until we visited again. :-)
