To echo a quote I cannot find: If only our National Gaurd was not in Iraq, we could do so much more. But because so many resources have been shipped out of the country to fight that way, we are vunerable at home and when something major like this happens, we don't have what we need to help stop the damage.
And in related news, Gas jumped 50cents today. THere's talk of shortages and rationings have already started. I'm glad I only have to drive 6 miles to get where I need to... even that seems too much...
