There are both good and bad things I can say about you. On the bad side, you often slip into second-hand attitudes like the one that made you post this question. On the other hand, it's clear that you hate irrationality, as evidenced by your post a while back about American censorship. You are also fairly intelligent by my standards, but there are tmes when you don't utilize that intelligence properly.
So what do I think? I think you're a person of contradictions, and you probably ought to resolve that.

...I'm sorry if I'm being a bit too honest. People often get upset when I do that...

Seriously, I think you're one of the good ones. You've got a good sense of humor, commendable graphic design and fanfic-writing skills, and put up with a lot of bullshit from the YGO fandom.

Maybe you are a little insecure, as evidenced by your post, but it's nothing you can't get around.

I think you're insecure. Why else would you be asking this question? You don't seem to realise that people look up to you. You don't tolerate bullshit, and you're certainly not afraid to speak your mind - at least not online.

We were never close, partially because our personalitites clash, partially because we don't have a lot in common other than a few surface interests. You hold people at arm's length and then wonder why people feel alienated. Almost every attempt to reach out to and/or bond with you was blown off (intentionally or not, I don't know) so you could hang around on your computer. By senior year, I barely spoke more than three sentences to you every week and they were usually the same sentences, because you didn't feel like engaging in conversations that had any depth. Moreover, since Judy wanted to spend so much time with you and you wanted to spend so much time on your computer, we practically never saw her, which in all fairness is as much her fault as yours, but it did cause a strain in the relationships I had with both of you. I think you're a good person and have proven that under dire circumstances you are a good friend, but outside of a crisis, you tend to be inconsiderate of people's feelings or needs and then get frustrated with them when they resent you for it. All in all, for me --and I speak for no one else -- I felt our friendship had become a one-way effort and that's why I disengaged for the most part. Of course, you know my psychology. I'm always willing to go another round.

Really. Your photography is stunning, and you're a really good writer. And, even though you're losing interest in it (which is OK, you've been running it for an insanely long time) you have one of the best fansites I've ever come across.

And to you, Fran... Although you've already made a response entry to the above comment, well. Here goes. Thing is, we've never really talked all that much--probably the extent of our interaction is limited to LJ comment exchanges, except for maybe a couple of emails? I don't remember. I've been to your site, though (of course), and I've read your LJ entries (although I've been really lax about reading anything at all in recent times), so... My general impression of you is that you seem tired of dealing with stupid people.

That's okay, I'm tired of a lot of things, too.

Someone mentioned your website design, and I have to agree that it was all very, very nice, as well as abundantly helpful. The kind of time and effort it would suggest to cap all those images, and then just share them with the internet at large, suggests a measure of philanthropy. However, you're really annoyed when people are ungrateful asses about it, so although you like doing things for others, you seem to want something in return. Which is okay, being that that "something" seems to be not much more than appreciation and respect, and you'd think that'd be a pretty reasonable price for all the stuff you had on KnN. I guess some people just didn't agree. And, uh... I just got up from an hour-long nap after staying up all night, so that's all I'm not-disoriented...enough...to think of coherently.

I think you frequently let yourself get frustrated into irrationality sometimes when it comes to fandom things, which is painful to watch and makes me want to smack you upside the head, but all in all you're a very cool person. I wish we lived closer because you're someone I'd really like to know in real life, which is truly the highest compliment I can give to anyone I know online.

Honestly? I don't know you that well--I know you only from what I've read here. We don't agree on several political issues and whatnot, but you're very intelligent--you're just not always keeping that in mind, from the looks of it. Sometimes, you seem unstable--unsure is more like it. But I'd say pretty much everybody is unsure. The difference lies in how the person takes that.

You have a lot going for you--you're bright, you've got drive (even if it isn't the obvious type you see in movies where the little girl is determined to get Olympic gold someday), you're sweet, even if you wonder why people think that. Maybe your goals aren't all set yet, and maybe you've got some stability issues, but that doesn't change you so much.
