It ended. Get over it. >
The Yuugiou fandom has gotten very whiney the past few days...
First major whineing: 'OMG the manga ENDED!' The amount of posts and whineing about wanting sequeals and spinoffs and maybe it's NOT really over cause Yuugi said and they never addressed and have you people even READ the fricken manga or are you all going from 2nd-3rd hand information from the web?
IT ENDED. Get over it. Yes, I lamented the ending [Lack of explaineing Shaadii! Or how YB got in the Ring unless I missed it, and all these other questions that make me whine] but I got over it. I read the scans and translations/summeries of it and got all sniffly, but accepting it as the ending. Yeah, it was a bit abrupt, but you knew it was coming. [side: There goes Bathead's regeneritive streak. No way in heck I think he can come back from that one.] You knew it was coming when the AE arc ended, you knew it was coming when the final duel started. I'd love to see a small epilouge or side story, but the ending did give closure. Yami Yuugi has moved on.
Second major whining: 'OMFG the dub movie!'
Yeeah. It looks like it's gonna be a train wreck. 8th item? Bloody hell, I KNOW that can't have been in the Japanese script... *sighs* I just sit here hoping there WILL be a Japanese version of it at some point cause the plot has potential. Anubis was the god of souls/underworldness, yes? So think about it, you have YY walking around long past his time, he needs to be sent on. But then there's this taking over the world and something about Kaiba working with an Egyptian god? WTF? >< Granted, the 2nd part is still rumour, but... *sighs* Silly dub.
But now we have fans saying 'WE MUST STOP THIS MOVIE!' WTF? It's not your choice! 4kids is gonna make a boatload o money on this movie and related merchendising. No whineing fangirls [that are NOT their target audiance] are gonna stop it. All the 8-12year old boys are gonna love it. Monsters, action, dramatic stakes, whatn do they care about plot and consitancy?
Don't like the idea? Don't go see it! Eesh.
I'll just continue hoping for a Japanese version or something. I'll probally wind up getting a copy of it for screen capping reasons eventualy [I should encode and cap the 1st movie...]
